Day 1 of Host Analytics World 2016 started off and ended strong with lots of product news, industry expert perspectives as well as insights from senior finance executives.

After beginning with a kickoff keynote from CEO Dave Kellogg that covered everything from Kardashian companies to finding inspiration in Full Metal Jacket to the value of Enterprise Performance Management in both fair and foul weather markets, day 1 of Host Analytics World 2016 ended with Ron Baden, Senior Vice President of Services, moderating a fireside chat with a panel of Host Analytics customers.  The customer panel included:

All are in various stages of implementing EPM in the cloud with Host Analytics. For Trimarchi, this year's conference marks the one-year anniversary of AngioDynamics moving to Host Analytics from a collection of spreadsheets that had outlived their usefulness. He and his team got the business up and running on the cloud in just 90 days.

Kirchner and Vitoux were introduced to Host Analytics through major integration initiatives, while Dambrosio explained how Host Analytics Cloud EPM Platform replaced a Business Objects system that was no longer being supported. In each case, Host Analytics EPM Platform helped surface data that previously had been inaccessible.

And yet it wasn't all good news. In Kirchner's case, Host Analytics' ability to duplicate and improve upon an eight-year-old patchwork platform composed of what he called "beastly" Excel spreadsheets and three custom-developed but woefully overmatched software apps had the board of St. Vincent's Health Australia eager to test the new system's capabilities. First up: building 10-year (!) budgets. "They have an aggressive expansion plan," Kirchner joked.
